our little cheerleader
Kate had the opportunity to take a cheer clinic with the high school cheer squad. She was in heaven! She learned cheers and jumps and a dance that she performed at a football half time. (I wish I had more pictures--I really don't know how to use my not that great camera well, plus I always have a little 3 three year old hanging on my arm HA!)

my baby
I can not believe my baby is going to preschool! Luke and Kate both went to this same preschool and we love it! I don't know if he is totally ready to go, but for sure he is bored and mommy needs a little down time! He had no problem going to preschool, even with not knowing any of the other kids. He takes after his dad like that!
new responsibility
So for a couple of summers I have seen Austin's friends mowing their lawns. Brent and I both worry about things, but they are usually different things. I think Austin is perfectly capable of mowing the lawn and Brent thinks he is going to cut his foot off. I finally talked Brent into showing Austin how to mow the lawn. It was pretty funny to watch how close Brent stayed to Austin. I think he did a great job and I think that next summer it should be Austins new responsibility!

It's back to school time!! I thought I would have all of this time--but it seems with back to school time comes a lot of extra things. I think I am actually missing those lazy days of summer! Oh well it will come quicker then I know it and i will be saying--what are we going to do all summer! Ha Ha!

family reunion--heber valley
Finishing up the summer we had a fun extended family reunion. We had cabins, wonderful meals, wonderful weather, and wonderful company. Each day there was something for the kids to do. They played games, painted cute temple blocks, and made chocolate covered marshmallows on a stick.

And each day also included something for the whole family to enjoy, canoeing, paddle boating, team building courses and a talent show.

I think the highlight for me was the zip line. I have wanted to do a zip line for a long time. I was so proud of my little family. Brent, Austin, Kate and I all made it to the top and down the zip line. Luke stopped half way up the pole and got a little nervous. I felt bad for him because he was so upset that he couldn't do it, but he pushed himself as far as he could and maybe next time he will get a little farther! (and for Brent and my dignity and to not burn your eyes--you will be getting far away pics of us--ha ha)

kate's 6th birthday
luke loves golf

This summer I put each child in a camp or class. Austin took a basketball and football camp and Kate took ballet and tumbling. Luke has been asking to take golf for a couple of summers now. We have a darling friend who is a professional golfer and also teaches golf. Luke has the right temperment for golf and loved it! Hopefully he can keep going with the golf. I think it is a great fit for him!
