valentine fun
Kate has been asking for awhile to have a cookie party with her friends, so I thought Valentines Day would be a great time to do that! My baking skills are not the best (maybe they could be considered horrible). I have made these cookies before and they turned out, but this time it did not go so well. They tasted fine, just not fluffy like they are supposed to be. Oh well the kids didn't seem to mind!

happy unbirthday
Two year olds are so funny. Zach the other day gets up and tells me he needs to wear his birthday crown and that it is his birthday. So I play along, since he does not associate presents with birthdays (yet). Of course birthdays are not complete with out candles, so a candle in his muffin just made his day. We sang happy birthday a few times and he was happy as can be for the rest of the day.
4 eyes can be better then 2
Last school year Luke failed the school eye test twice--oh what a great mother I am. I thought well maybe it is all of the Nintendo DS playing and all of the reading he was doing. So I gave it the summer to maybe fix it's self. Well little things here and there told me it was not getting any better and I needed to get them checked with a doctor. Sure enough he really needed glasses. The doctor said it was not anything he was doing to make them that way, it was genetic. So here we are. The world is so much clearer for him. I thought maybe he would not want to keep them on all of the time, but he sees so much better that he wants them on all of the time.
the funny's
My kids (like most others) say the funniest things and I thought my blog is a perfect place to keep record of them so here is the first and I am sure not the last that will appear here!
So Kate tells me the other day that she is having a "substitute" at school the next day. I said oh that will be fun. She continues by saying "isn't it so funny that all of their last names are "toot"". She is one funny girl. (I did let her know that it is not their last name)
