the funny's

My kids (like most others) say the funniest things and I thought my blog is a perfect place to keep record of them so here is the first and I am sure not the last that will appear here!

So Kate tells me the other day that she is having a "substitute" at school the next day. I said oh that will be fun. She continues by saying "isn't it so funny that all of their last names are "toot"". She is one funny girl. (I did let her know that it is not their last name)

it's great to be 8

I can't believe Luke is 8. He was baptised on January 2, 2010. We are so proud of him and know that he made a great decision.

He was able to be baptised with 3 of his good friends. (I forgot to get a picture with one of them.) He was so happy to share this with his grandparents and some of his cousins. Thanks to everyone for their support in this special day!

happy 2010

Well here I am faced with a new year, a new beginning, and for some reason, I can't get my self motivated to make any real resolutions or goals--I feel unmotivated and uninspired. What is my problem? I have got to dig down deep inside and find the inspiration--somewhere!

Zach and the snow

Zach loves the snow. He is so funny to watch. He will lay in it like it is sand and just roll around. I am glad he enjoys it because we get plenty of it!

christmas 2009

I really can't believe how the holidays flew by. We had a great holiday season--we were able to spend a lot of time with family. Christmas eve we spent with my parents and brother Mike. We had a wonderful dinner--We all thought maybe Martha Stewart had visited my mom--ha!ha! Christmas morning my parents and brother came over to watch the kids open their presents. They said that last year was really sad and boring just sitting around by themselves. I started a new tradition of getting the kids something they want, need, wear, and read. Even if they didn't understand that's what I did, it helped me in organizing what I was buying--It was a perfect amount. Christmas day we had dinner over at Brent's parents house. I am sad I didn't take a lot of pics on Christmas--oh well something to remember for next year!

(Austin fainting after he saw all of the goodies under the tree!)

Luke's 8th Birthday

We had a fun birthday for Luke. Since it was a friend year, we took some of his friends to the Bowling alley--Lukes choice. I think they all had a great time, even Zach!

first snowman--maybe the last

Here is our attempt to a snow man this year. Even for a Texas raised girl, I think it is pretty sorry. Oh well--Zach loved it!!
